Scarborough Gardens was started in 1986 as an addition to the already existing “Scarborough Family” of lumber and hardware stores located in Scotts Valley, Ben Lomond, and Boulder Creek. The Scarborough Family has owned and operated these stores for over 40 years. They have been committed to not only provide a friendly, local, shopping experience but also to serve and generously support the community they have lived and worked in since the mid-1950’s.

At Scarborough Gardens Nursery, we take pride in delivering the highest quality product and the most knowledgeable, helpful service. We strive to create a shopping environment that is both pleasant and professional. Our nursery sales staff live and garden locally. We have first-hand knowledge of the climate, soils, and the sometimes difficult issues involved particularly with gardening in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Many of our sales people have worked at the nursery for over 5 years and some have been in the industry for up to 28 years. That equates to a vast amount of information and experiences that we are excited to share with our customers. With each sales person having a variety of expertise, we can help with most any questions you may have.

Our Hidden Treasures Gift Shop and our Patio Shop, has made Scarborough Gardens one of the most complete shopping experiences in our area. Our staff is very creative and helpful in assisting our customers with finding the right gifts, home decorating items, outdoor furniture, or BBQ’s  all within their budget requirements. Our Gift Shop is filled with beautiful displays of unique items that satisfy a wide variety of tastes and styles.
